Writer's Block: Party of Five

If you could invite four people-living or dead- to a dinner party, who would they be?

*None of these gifs are mine, all were ganked from tumblr.

Sounds like the makings of a flawless dinner party. :)
That James Dean gif is kinda mesmerizing.

That James Dean gif is kinda mesmerizing.
Isn't it though?! ;)

I'm kind of REALLY obsessed with him. I live about 20 minutes away from his hometown of Fairmount, go to the James Dean Festival almost every year and (my big claim to fame lol) his high school drama/art teacher was my art teacher in the 4th grade (he was of course very very old by then, had retired & only taught like 2 classes a week...he was also very grouchy lol).

There's a James Dean festival??? That's awesome. Clearly I've been missing out.

Yes, it's the last weekend in August every year. They've been doing it for 40+ years I believe. You can visit the 2 museums (of course), they have a regular street fair, lots of booths selling memorabilia, they have outdoor showing of his 3 movies, an antique car show, a roping contest (from Giant) & a look-alike contest (which is always SO DISAPPOINTING to me, because none of the guys look like JD, even if you squint lol). They also have a memorial @ the church where his funeral was held and then a motorcycle procession to his gravesite (I've been to his gravesite a dozen times but never did the procession). The town is really cool, too, because it's like time has stood still since the 1950s: there's antique stores, a vintage clothing shop, a vintage toy shop, a soda fountain, ice cream shoppe & a record store (that sells vinyl). /ramble

You are special, bb!! ♥ I am pretty predictable!

And holy crap, the guy in your icon is too adorable lol ;)
Feb. 11th, 2012 05:59 am (UTC)
Aww, ♥ you.

HE IS! It's Andrew-Lee Potts and he's British and adorable. (He's in Syfy's Alice and Primeval... sigh, such a doll.)
Feb. 12th, 2012 12:35 am (UTC)
Ah, Alice is on my to-watch list. I've got to get around to it because from what I've heard, I'm pretty sure I'd like it. (I don't know much about Primeval, other than Hannah from S Club 7 is in it lol.)

It's so fantastic! I just love that take on Alice in Wonderland the best. It's like it's been beat to death, but I think it's the best one in a while.

Syfy also did Neverland for the obvious Peter Pan, but it's a prequel and it's also amazing. I think it was this year or late last year they did it, but if you like Alice, you might like Neverland as well.

(And Primeval is a really ridiculous Dino show, haha. It's ridic but I love it! And Hannah/Andrew are a couple in a show, and also a real life couple; Connor/Abby and Hannah/Andrew are so cute omg ♥___♥ lol.)

I don't think I've ever heard of Neverland but I remember wanting to watch Alice when it was originally aired & I never got to & I'm always seeing icons from it & I've read about it & I NEED TO SEE IT.

(OMG they are? That couple must be like death by cuteness...)

Neverland was really, really good. I think it was slightly better than Alice, tbh. But you can' go wrong with you watch either.

(And they are really, really freaking cute. If I wasn't so pressed for time, I'd go hunt for a few pictures right now.)
